Uniform Gang Enforcement Team Seizes Drugs, Cash and Weapons in Kelowna.

Over the four days, officers stopped 100 vehicles and interacted with 145 people, the majority of whom were connected to the street-level drug trade. Of concern were the multiple weapons seized, including two BB guns that appeared altered to shoot live ammunition.

The CFSEU-BC’s mandate is to target, investigate, prosecute, disrupt, and dismantle the organized crime groups and individuals that pose the highest risk to public safety due to their involvement in gang violence.

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia is B.C’s (CFSEU-BC) “integrated anti-gang police agency”. CFSEU-BC is the largest integrated police program in Canada, made up of members from every police department in B.C., including the RCMP, and are the third largest police ‘force’ in the province with over 400 officers.
